Appearance

Deep ruby red with garnet reflections at the rim, brilliant clarity with exceptional viscosity that hints at the wine's generous body and concentration. Slow, thick legs cascade down the glass, speaking to the richness within.

Nose

An inviting and complex bouquet that opens with ripe blackberry and black cherry, layered over notes of dark chocolate, vanilla, and toasted oak. As the wine breathes, subtle hints of dried herbs, tobacco leaf, and a whisper of black pepper emerge, adding depth and intrigue. The indigenous Gamza grape contributes distinctive floral undertones and a characteristic earthiness unique to the Danube terroir.

Palate

Full-bodied and commanding, yet remarkably elegant. The entry is bold with concentrated dark fruit — blackcurrant and plum — followed by a mid-palate of espresso, mocha, and warm baking spices. The 18 months of French oak ageing has integrated seamlessly, providing structure without overpowering the fruit. Tannins are velvety and well-rounded, creating a plush, almost silky texture that coats the palate beautifully.

Finish

Exceptionally long and memorable. Dark chocolate and espresso linger alongside subtle mineral notes and a gentle warmth. The finish evolves slowly, revealing new nuances with each moment — a final flourish of dried violet and cedar that invites another sip. This is a wine built for contemplation, best enjoyed unhurried alongside fine food and good company.
